MIAMI – September 8, 2015 – The newly-commissioned expansion of the Baker Furniture Showroom at the Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA) in Dania Beach will result in an expanded, refreshed space with 19 additional galleries showcasing designer, contemporary furniture. Expansion and enhancement of the Baker showroom will consist of complete interior demolition of the existing second floor suites – comprising 14,875 square feet at the existing 750,000 square foot DCOTA facility. Expansion will create 19 new galleries, work rooms, storage areas and other facilities utilized consult with designers and clients. Enhancements will include contemporary polished-finish floors, wood base boards, state-of-the-art designer cabinetry, acoustical and drywall ceilings and finishes including new doors, frames and hardware. Additionally, HVAC, plumbing, fire sprinklers and the electrical system will be upgraded for a complete enhancement of the Baker showroom and its supporting infrastructure.
