Miami, Fl – October 1, 2014 – Lynx Construction Management (Lynx) was awarded a contract to construct Miami-Dade County’s new $14 million animal shelter in Doral Florida.
The project will entail construction work on approximately 70,000 square feet and includes an existing building that will undergo extensive renovation and structural retrofitting.
The new facility, designed by LIVS Associates, prioritizes the adoption of shelter pets and makes it a model of best practices in animal housing. It includes spacious quarantined air-conditioned kennels and several outdoor exercise and play areas for dogs. Also part of the project is a community room for cats to play in.
“The new facilities will create an ideal environment for pet adoption,” said Chris Moran, President of Lynx
